It was suggested (thank you Meghan North!) that I start a blog so everyone can keep up with our adventures! I do need more space than what Facebook can really offer, so here goes...
A quick rundown...we are doing a 3 year tour in Vicenza, Italy. We arrived on 01FEB11. The trip here was great, but jet lag was hard on all of us! We are staying in the post hotel quarters and have rented a little European car to drive for now.
Today was pretty exciting! First, I got the kids registered for school. They will meet their guidance counselors Monday morning and then they will start classes on Tuesday. By the way, I should add that I drove there all by myself! Yay! Go me! You would understand how big of a deL this is if you saw how crazy the driving is here! Reeeally scary!!! The school is off the ma base but in a separate gated community. It is brand new and very nice! This evening, we went to a dinner/Bible Study/fellowship at the Vicenza Hospitality House operated by Cadence International Ministries. We had a great time. Our Bible Study covered putting God first in your life and following His commandments out of love and devotion. We are planning to attend church services with them this Sunday at the Post Chapel. We have a couple of other churches we want to visit as well. We are so thankful to have met such wonderful brothers an sisters in Christ to fellowship with.
I am dealing with my separation issues. I do miss my family, Anna, and my BBC family. We are making it tho! I am going to find a way to post pictures tomorrow. And let me just add...if you don't come visit us, you are missing out on the experience of a lifetime!!! It is beautiful!!!
