Lazy Day
Today was a really good day for us here! I took the kids to school this morning to meet their teachers. Hunter's teacher is absolutely awesome! She is great for him! She runs a tight ship, but she has an individual relationship with each student. I think because of this Hunter has a great respect for her and her rules. She sees what I see; a smart and sweet little boy. She had nothing but GREAT things to say about him. She said he is incredibly smart and she was absolutely amazed at how well he does in school. I had told her about the previous problems with is behavior at his previous school. She said his behavior has been nothing less than the best since day one. I told her to give him a couple of weeks before she patted his back too too much! :) She said he obeys her immediately and without question and he does his work and doesn't get distracted. I am excited about this new teacher and Hunter's new attitude towards school! :)
Abbi's teacher is also great! He is a University of Southern Mississippi graduate! Go Golden Eagles! He is very personable and seems to be a wonderful teacher. I did not get to talk too much with him because I spent so much time with Hunter's teacher, but from what I saw and heard in his classroom, I like him. He had nothing but good things to say about Abbi and her work. It's hard for anyone to dislike Abbi, she is the friendliest little girl there is! She will befriend anyone and treat them like royalty! I know she gets a little sassy, but that can add up to be a good thing in the future if controlled properly now.
Fisher and I had a lazy day today. We stayed around the room and outside in the yard. We chit chatted with our neighbors and made some new friends. Rita seems to be enjoying the attention from people again. I am glad her attitude is going back to normal. She had tried to bite a few people since we have been here. :/
Abbi had a new little friend come to spend the evening with us in our room. Her name is Sydnee. She is such a sweet little girl! Everytime I called her name though, it made me miss my other sweet little Sydnee and Colin, Laura, and Mike. :(
The picture I added to this post has a little story to go with it.... I was helping Abbi with her homework, Rob had been on the phone with one of the dog handlers talking about work stuff, and Hunter was playing Black Ops. Rob came out of the room and asked, "Where is Fisher?" I stopped, looked around, realizing I hadn't heard the little booger in a few minutes. I said, "Where IS Fisher?" Rob went to the bathroom and opened the door..... there was little Fisher, trying to help the janitors get a head start on their duties for tomorrow. He was cleaning the toilets with the toilet brush, and cleaning the floors with toilet water! :) Of course we laughed and grabbed the camera! Say Cheese Fisher.... (make sure you notice the floor; SOAKED!!!!!!)
