Here we come! Or here we are.... Anna and I are about to start our firt day! We are just taking it easy today tho. Anna has got to get the feel for European life! Haha! We've already started our day with some good coffee. It wasnt quite as strong as yesterday's! Lol! I had to really give her a tall cup to overcome the jet lag! Her flights were great tho! She got here about 30 minutes early. I was glad because the kids were getting a little weary from spending so many hours in the airport. It's kind of scary too when they've had to take down all references to military and the U.S. to help prevent terrorist attacks. I told the kids to keep quiet as much as possible to avoid drawing attention. Didn't work so well with Fisher; he doesn't meet a stranger these days. He introduces himself to everyone and asks for juice and candy! Lol!
We got Anna's registration done yesterday. Visitors have to register with the post to b e allowed access. Kinda weird but i guess it's safer; prevents people from being able to just bring anyone on post. The Italians don't have to "register" tho. I guess since it is their property they are exempt. Sad that you have to worry about Americans bringing in enemies more than you have to worry about others... Our own soldier is one who attacked Fort Hood tho. It does make you look at everyone with skepticism. You always wonder what the soldiers coming home are capable of when they come back from deployment.
Anyway, enough of that. Fisher was thrilled about riding the bus yesterday to the airport and not having to ride in a car seat or seat belt. He thought he was something. Abbi and Hunter were just glad to skip school. I was just glad to see my friend! :)
Off to start our day!!!!
So glad Anna made it safe! Hope y'all have lots of fun!
