Good Times

Our van will be available for pickup tomorrow morning around 10:45.  Just in time too.  We are out of fuel coupons and could not buy anymore until our primary vehicle arrived.  If we purchased them for the little car, we would've been on a ration for a small car.  That would've meant we could purchase 200 liters a month of discounted fuel rather than the 400 liters a month we are alloted for the van. We can still purchase additional fuel if needed, but we purchase fuel coupons on base to help with the cost of fuel here, and you can only buy so many liters of discounted fuel.  We are paying about $4.56 per gallon.  So you guys in the states be thankful for your "cheaper" gas!  :)
I stayed home today! YAY!  I was able to get some more things done around the house.  It literally takes me an hour just to sweep my whole house.  I will be so thankful when my vaccuum gets here.  :)  The neighbors upstairs are moving and they gave us a solid oak dresser.  It definitely came from somewhere in Europe.   The handles on the top two drawers have the lion with the ring through its mouth.  So pretty.
We just got home from church.  I am enjoying the church we are attending.  It is very small, but such a close group of Christians.  Some are military, some are civilians working on base, and many are Africans that are here working with the military.  We are really enjoying ourselves.
Hunter came in from school and asked me why we have to live in a place that is "such a city".  He said he told the bus monitor (they have a bus driver and a bus monitor)....anyway, he told the bus monitor that he had to go to the bathroom really bad and she told him he would have to wait.  He asked her if they could just pull over and let him go in the bushes like his bus driver in Louisiana did.  Of couse she told him that they could not do such a thing!  hahahaha!  My poor country children.  Such an adjustment!  We did look out our glass door the other day and see one of the other American children peeing in the yard in front of our door.  Yes, he was facing us.  At least I am not the only one with a child with this issue.....
If you haven't already seen it, check out the video of our house on facebook.  If you don't have facebook,  you should've gotten an email from me with the video link.  I wanted to do a more thorough presentation, ha!, but it took 2 hours just to upload that short video.  I guess I will have to start making DVDs if I have any that are any longer than 2 or 3 minutes.
Fisher and I took a walk to the park today and met one of our Italian neighbors.  A very sweet grandmother and her grandbaby, I suppose.  She stopped and pinched Fisher's cheeks, oogling over him for a moment.  She asked me how old he was (in Italian), and when I told her he was one, she told me her baby was one as well.  Fisher gave her his big grin and said, "Hiiii!" She laughed and said, "Ciao!"  Fisher responded, "Ciao, Ciao!"  She LOVED it!  It's so funny watching the Italians get tickled over my little Italian-speaking Americano child!  They think it is just as cute as I do!  :)
I have got to get these children in the bed.  It is already late and they are skating on their heelys all through the house.  oops..... I did get a message from Hunter's teacher today that he was very distracted today and would not stay in his seat.  And so it begins......
Goodnight to all!  :)
