So the check engine light was on in the van. We thought it was because the battery had went dead and they used a jump pack to crank it, but that wasn't it. The cooling fan for the motor is not working. The van overheated on us today. We are going to the Kia dealer Monday to have them fix it. Yay for owning a Kia. The Kia dealer here will honor US warranties and fix US spec vehicles. I am so excited. I am not excited however, that my van needs fixing.
In spite of it all we made it to Ikea today and was able to get a shopping list for the furniture we need. We have to take the list to the tax center on post and they will discount it by 20% and then we take it back to Ikea and pick up our stuff. :)
I was almost a widow today. I thought I was going to kill Rob. He went outside to let the dogs out and left our front door open. The front door leads to the hall of our building and there are marble stairs that go upstairs and a set that go down to the garage. Fisher went out the door and must have went up the stairs because Rob did not see him when he came back inside. Rob came back in and locked Fisher out. I was blow drying my hair and when I shut the dryer off I could hear Fisher hollering, but it sounded like he was at a distance. I yelled for Rob and asked him where Fisher was. He said that Fisher was in his room playing. I went to the door and opened it to find Fisher knocking on the door crying. Oh I was so mad. Of course I told Rob how terrible he was and that I would never leave my poor baby in his care again! haha! Fisher came inside and started laughing. I didn't think it was funny.
We actually just got home. Our ride home was quite fun. Picture this....me and the kids in the van, windows rolled down, jamming out to Sweet Home Alabama in the European suburbs of Italy. Now that is living! :) Goodnight!
