It is raining cats and dogs here in Italy! There has already been flooding near Rob's work. He was "rained in" earlier today. He is "concerned" he won't be able to get to work in the morning. We did find out that he does not have to go to Germany since our household goods have arrived. I guess the Army didn't want me calling them to send in reinforcements to unload it! :) That is precisely what I would've done too!
There was a smart mouthed, healthy, Italian man at the Vehicle Processing Center who tried to tell me they would not cover mechanical damages. It only took me 5 minutes to convince him he was going to file my claim and see to it that I was reimbursed for the damages they caused. It is amazing what you can accomplish when you are nice but firm in your position. I simply informed him that I dropped my vehicle off in the best of conditions to his company, I was in compliance with their shipping requirements, and I expected his company to be in compliance with my standards and return my vehicle to me in the same condition it was in when I shipped it. :) I also informed him that the Kia dealer in the states who serviced my vehicle prior to shipment along with the Kia dealer here in Italy who serviced my vehicle and noted the cause of damage to be due to extensive idling, were both prepared to stand in my corner and defend my position. Today, 145 pounds outweighs 350 pounds!!! :) And I am serious, he was close to that!
After that headache was over, Fisher and I mailed a few things, helped out a young soldier from our Bible Study, and then picked up the kids from school. I was afraid the bus would get delayed due to the weather and the kids would be up a creek without a boat!
Rob came home today with a surprise. GiGi had sent Valentine's Gifts for the kids and coupons for me. Yes, our mail was a little slow this time! :) There was candy, gummy bugs with a pair of tongs that made the bug glow when you pinched it! Fisher's response when he saw this was priceless! His eyes got big and he said, "Whoooooaaaa!" He hears Rob say that all the time, so it was his first reaction! We laughed so hard!
Another thing, Abbi came and told me that Fisher had my keys and she couldn't find them now. I scolded him, pointed my finger in the opposite direction and told him to find my keys. He walked down the hall yelling, "Keeeyyys???" Just like he was calling for them and they would answer him! hahahaha!
At least he hasn't peed on the floor today. He only ripped his diaper off once before I put another pair of Mickey undies on him to prevent him from pulling the diaper off. :) Score one for Mommy! :)
We were all so excited to talk to GaGa, Landon, and Uncle Philip on Skype today! Landon was so sweet! He misses his Aunt LeLe, his Unlce Wob and his cousins!
Abbi feels confident about her testing. She has been really good about getting ready for school and helping me out around the house. She is growing up so fast. She came home upset yesterday. She wants to have some friends here who are Christians. We prayed about it, and I hope that you all who are reading this will help us pray about this. I am so proud of her for the stand she has taken at school. God is so good to my family!
My little Hunter man is still struggling a little bit with his behavior. He is on restriction right now from his PlayStation. :( He is such a sweet little boy, but he gets so angry. We are trying to encourage different behavior, but it is a struggle. His schoolwork is excellent! He is very smart.
We got all the tax-free paperwork to pick up our purchases at IKEA! I am so excited! I hope we get to pick our things up tomorrow! If you have never shopped at and Ikea, you should do so! At least go look at their selections http://www.ikea.com/.
