Little blessings warm the heart!

The past couple of days have been a little rough on us.  Poor Rob is struggling with his allergies, and I am struggling with other medical things.  ugh!  Fisher has been quite fussy, Abbi wasn't feeling so good over the weekend, and Hunter wasn't feeling good a couple days ago.  I am so glad that we were able to make it to church tonight!  We had a missionary speaker and his family from Aviano, Matt and Diane Olson.  Turns out, Diane is from Cantonment, attended the same church as I did growing up, and my grandfather performed their wedding!  This was such a blessing to me.  I miss my family so much!  It was so nice to have someone, while we are so far away, tell me how wonderful my family is.  Of course I already know it, :)  but it is a blessing to hear it from others.  Diane was also saved and surrendered to the ministry under my Grandaddy's preaching!  So many people have been touched by the Lord's work through my Grandaddy.  All the way over here in Italy, there is a couple, serving the Lord because he served the Lord.  This went right in line with what Bro. Matt preached....John the Baptist paved the way for Jesus.  As Christians, we are paving the way as well.  But what kind of road are we paving?  Are we paving a straight and narrow path for others to follow, or do we lead them into destruction?  Are we reeds tossed about by circumstances, or do we hold fast to the promises of God?  Diane is also really good friends with a lady from Rob's dad's church.  There were so many connections that we were able to make with them, but I am so thankful the greatest one was through Jesus!  And to think, it was a Wednesday night!  This really warmed my heart!  You never know what little blessing you miss on Wednesday nights!  They are important services too!
The kids and I went swimming on post today.  Abbi had a little friend that spent the night last night and went to church with us tonight.  I am so thankful for the good friends she has made.  Please pray that the children they have met who aren't so "good" will move on and not influence our children.  That's ok to say right?!
I am so excited about my parents coming.  Please pray that their flights are good and they get here safely.  Also, we are looking at taking some leave this summer to fly home for a couple weeks.  Rob has to get his motorcycle license and he can't get one here until he has one from Florida.  ha!  O well!
Hope everyone is as blessed as we are!
