It's Just Money!

A GREAT friend of mine has been quoted many times saying, "It's just money."  I don't need money, but the people at the grocery stores, gas stations, and airports, well, they expect me to have it when I request their merchandise or services.  So while it is "just money", I am thinking that I definitely would like the government ot keep sending it to me on the 1st and 15th of every month.  :)  We are guaranteed to be paid for the 1st thru the 8th, but what happens in the next 9 and a half hours will tell if we get paid for anything beyond that.  Our neighbor says it's no big deal, that they will work it out.  The Sargeant Major is at the neighbors house for a BBQ, and he says he has been through this same situation 3 times and nothing has come of any of them.  Maybe they are right, but they might not be this time.  Time will tell.  Someone said that our Garrison Commander announced today that our Commissary was closing starting tomorrow, and would be closed for a few days to see if Congress reached a deal.  I am not sure how true that is, but time will tell.
Our patio furniture came in today, and my husband has already broke one of the chairs.  *seriously frustrated*  It is a really nice patio furniture set.  Military spouses, it is the hexagon table at AAFES with the offset adjustable umbrella, and the 6 piece set of "rocking" chairs.  I LOVED it when I saw it.
The kids are officially on Spring Break now.  It is a shame that we can't do anything though.  I know so many families who are just striking out and going on expensive trips in spite of the looming shutdown.  We figured it would be smarter to stay close just in case.
I am becoming increasingly impatient with some of our surroundings.  PLEASE DO NOT PRAY FOR PATIENCE FOR ME!  I don't think I can stand anymore frustrations with our current surroundings.  Just pray that we are able to be a witness to those we come in contact with.
In spite of my sour mood with these circumstances, God is still blessing our family.  We met another wonderful lady today.  Abbi is so friendly with the local Italians.  She loves to try out her communication skills with them.  A lady was walking her dog and Abbi spoke to her.  Abbi must have told her she had two dogs because the lady really wanted to see them.  We brought them out and talked with her for a few minutes.  Just being able to experience a friendly environment with few words said, it such a great experience.  The language barrier can be frustrating, but sometimes it is also a blessing.  You have to dig deep and try really hard to understand one another, and sometimes, it's actually fun.  :)  Not always, but sometimes.  ;)
Rob has broke another bolt off in the chair.  grrrrrr!  I told him to leave it alone and I would take care of them tomorrow.  He just doesn't know his own strength I guess.
Goodnight everyone!
