Rise & Shine

I know I have been adding bits of my devotions to my blog and I hope no one is tired of reading them.  I started this blog to tell about our life here in Italy, and I am so thankful that the Lord has become the most important part of our lives.  We haven't always put him in the first place, but I am so grateful that He never gave up on us.  Most of us, as Christians, are complacent just going to church and giving here and there.  That was us.  We weren't really willing to step out of our comfort zone too much.  He had to get "us" out of the way so He could use us and His work could be done.  I just have to say that while we were doing our Bible reading last night, I cam across these verses that really just blessed my heart.  It starts off really scary, but the last verse had my heart in the heavens!  1 Corinthians 6:9-11 "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. AND SUCH WERE SOME OF YOU: BUT YE ARE WASHED, BUT YE ARE SANCTIFIED, BUT YE ARE JUSTIFIED IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS, AND BY THE SPIRIT OF OUR GOD."  I get excited with that last verse!  I was raised to love the Lord, in a Christian home, but I chose my own path that included sins any Bible-believing Baptist would frown upon.  ;)  God had to reach really low, into the deepest parts of Hell to set me free.  I cry writing this thinking of what could/would be of my life today had He not saved me.  I just pray I never forget what He saved me from and saved me to!  I also pray that I am never complacent again with just occupying my bubble on this Earth!  Fact is, I am enjoying being outside of my comfort zone.  This is where the Lord is teaching me to be used of Him and I like it. 
I have a lot to do today and I am not quite sure how I will manage it all.  My house needs a serious cleaning.  We have some things going on the next couple of days and I need to get busy. The kids are almost finished with school, Hal-le-lu-yer! I am hoping to find the rest of our curriculum at the post office today!  :)  Hunter has a field trip at school today; he will be visiting the Butterfly Arc.  He is very excited about this.  I can't wait to hear his stories!  Abbi has yet ANOTHER poster due.  Ugh!  She and I are going to go crazy with the poster-making society here at this school!  This one has to be done on the country from your ancestors.  After a LENGTHY conversation with Billy Ward, ( For those who don't know him, he is my 5th cousin three times removed, or something very similar.  I know this because he told me.   He is a man who likes to talk.) anyway, Abbi found out that our side of the family mainly comes from Great Britain, England, and Germany.  I believe she is choosing England for her poster.  This should be interesting.  I wonder how our grammatically correct English ancestors ended up in the backwoods of Molino using redneck slang singin' "Country Boys and Girls Gettin' Down on the Farm"?!  lol! 
Fisher's birthday is coming up real soon.  I can't believe my baby will be two!  Please, slow that clock down some! We are planning a small little party with a few friends, but we sure wish our family could be here with us!
