Aches and Pains

We have been very very sick around the Neese household.  It all started with Rob during the time my parents were here.  He had previously had many problems already this year with his allergies, but he got really sick while they were here.  The doctor diagnosed him with asthma and gave him a breathing treatment and an inhaler.  He is also taking some other meds as well.  She also gave him an antibiotic because he was developing pneumonia.  He seems to be doing much better now, but Fisher and I have it.  I took Fisher to the doctor on Tuesday I believe, and the doctor said he had an upper respiratory infection.  We have not been sleeping well at night at all.  We both cough all night.  The past two days we have slept until noon or just about noon.  I forced myself to stay awake this morning, but Fisher is still asleep now.  If fatigue wasn't my worst enemy right now, I would head out to pick the clover and make some tea for our coughs.  My friend/neighbor, Stephanie is my medicine woman (hehe!)..she has a wealth of information to share!  :)
Abbi and Hunter, praise the Lord, have not gotten sick.  I am praying it stays that way.  Hunter has a game tonight at the base, and we travel to Aviano tomorrow with Abbi for her game.  I just hope I am up for the challenge.  I had planned to stay home today and rest so we would be able to go.  There is a school carnival tonight at the school with a talent show.  I had planned to participate and sing, but that will not be happening.  I am a little disappointed about it.  If we are feeling up to it, we may stop by and enjoy some of the other entertainment though.
I haven't been able to ride my new bike much the past week or so with all the sickness.  I am really looking forward to riding again soon.  We sure do enjoy our bike rides.  I am also looking forward to family pictures.  We will have costume/antique photography done on May 15th and then I am going to try to have regular family pictures done shortly after.
Fisher will be 2 years old on June 3!  Can you believe it?!  Hardly!  We are planning a little party for him, but haven't decided yet how to accomplish it.  I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but I don't want to invite EVERYONE around us.  That is horrible isn't it?  I may just have to go with the knowledge that we could use the time to be a witness to some of the folks around us.  Just pray about that with me.  We haven't quite decided yet what to get little Fisher.  I would like to get him a sandbox, but Stephanie and her hubby built one for their kids, and she mentioned it is difficult to keep sand out of the house.  hmmm..... Not sure if I want to take that task on or not.  Actually, I am most positive I do NOT want to take that task on, but I am weighing out the pros and cons of the matter.
Today was wacky tacky day at school.  Abbi's school teacher has been out due to an illness in his family, but Hunter's teacher had reminded him and sent me an email reminding me of the event.  Abbi, however, did not have any information on the event from her sub.  She wanted to dress up too though.  After she got ready, and was looking quite wacky and tacky if I do say so myself, she asked if I could please call and find out if her grade was suppose to participate as well.  She was a little concerned that she would get to school and be the ONLY one wacky tacky.  She explained how embarrassed she would be if that were to happen.  Fortunately, she was good to go!  I could just see my poor baby getting to school and being the only one with mismatched shoes, socks, and clothing, and the other kids wondering why her mom didn't buy her more clothes/shoes.  They are both having a tough time riding the bus to and from school.  I try to pick them up as much as possible, but some days it is difficult.  They get very car sick on the ride home.  I know how some of the kids on my bus must have felt now.  lol!
Rob and I have officially made the decision to homeschool the kids again.  We will try to find a Christian school when we get back to the states.  For now, this is the best decision.  I am excited about it.  We will probably try the ACE curriculum this go round.  ABEKA is GREAT!  But it is sooo costly.  I may order a few books for Arithmetic and Language, but the others will probably be ACE.  Any suggestions, send them my way!
Before I close out for the day, I just wanted to take a minute to let everyone know that we are so thankful for those who have prayed we would find a good church here.  We found it.  Pastor Drylie and Isabella have become among our dearest friends.  We are richly blessed to have been placed in this congregation of believers.  We miss our Pastor, Ms. Lynne, and friends at Beckwith Baptist tremendously, but are so blessed to have new brothers and sisters in Christ that we can fellowship with.  Each fellow believer that God has placed in our lives means something special.  You each hold a very special place in our hearts.  God is so good us!  Please pray for our Pastor, Ms. Isabella, and the boys as they prepare to go to the states on furlough.  I'm sure everyone feels the weight of the economical struggle we are currently facing.  Our little church is very blessed, but is in need of additional support with all the inflation.  Please be in prayer about this matter.  Also, if you know of a church that would be willing to be presented with our church's work, please please let us know!  Thank you so much!
I can think of many more things to write and say, but I have got to get caught up on my housework!
