I have had a few things on my heart lately. Some because I see the consequences in other people's lives, but some because I see the consequences in my own life.
Lately, the Lord has been showing me how important my job is. I can't thank the Lord enough for the opportunity to raise my children. That being said, I am afraid for the children of the world right now; especially American children. So many families are so consumed by "getting ahead", and "giving my children things I didn't have", that they fail to give the kids the one of the most important things they need-the parent's attention and love. You may counter that with, "I work for my child, to provide for my child, so I do show them love that way." Love comes in many shapes and sizes. However, it's like a puzzle; if the piece of love that your child needs doesn't fit into the puzzle of his/her life, it's not going to work. They will still be missing something.
